“Am-among” is a Bontoc term that means gathering, reunion and fellowship. Initially, it was a term that referred to traditional events of gathering by the people of Bontoc, Mountain Province, CAR, Philippines to thank their god, “Lumawig or Kabunyan” , for a bountiful harvest.

Eventually, the term evolved to indicate any gatherings, celebrations or feasts to showcase cherished customs and traditions or to commemorate special events in history, in community or town affairs or family feasts like weddings where the community participate to rejoice and prepare for the affair.
